MK Group to buy Zito Grupa - Miodrag Kostic submits best takeover bid for Slovenian company

Aside from being "Sugar King", the owner of MK Group, Miodrag Kostic, may soon get another nickname - "Bread King"! Namely, as Kurir daily learns, Kostic's MK Group is going to become the majority owner of the Slovenian company Zito Grupa, the largest manufacturer of bakery, mill and confectionery products in Slovenia.

- MK Group, owned by Miodrag Kostic, has submitted the best bid for the acquisition of a majority stake in Slovenia's Zito Grupa. The sale of the majority stake of 50.5 percent is entering its final phase and, if negotiations end in success, MK Group will be the second Serbian company to successfully enter the Slovenian market, with Nectar being the first - Kurir cites its source.

Zito Grupa is Slovenia's largest manufacturer of flour, bakery products, pasta, frozen food and other flour products, tea, spices, rice, and confectionery products - candies, chocolate and chewing gums.

The company Zito Grupa has 1,400 employees, and every fourth Slovenian buys Zito bread, a product of that company.
