The low-cost airline Flydubai announced Monday the launch of flights to Serbian city of Belgrade as of 10 November 2011. The company will operate four direct Belgrade-Dubai flights a week.
All flights depart from Terminal 2 in Dubai at 9.10 AM and arrive at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade at 11.55 AM. The departure from Belgrade is at 12.40 PM, whereas the arrival in Dubai is at 8.45 PM.
- We are committed to opening up routes previously underserved by direct UAE air links and are proud to become the first airline to operate direct services to Belgrade from Dubai. We anticipate a strong demand for flights, both from the Serbian community in the UAE and from travelers looking for a low-cost link to one of the most dynamic cities in the world - said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of Flydubai.
He added that Serbia had taken numerous steps to develop its travel and tourism potential in recent years, including visa liberalization and open skies policies.
- The subsequent entry of a number of European low-cost airlines has led to an influx of European travelers to the region and we fully expect the launch of our services to Belgrade to have the same effect here in the UAE - said Al Ghaith.
Tickets for Dubai-Belgrade flights can be purchased on the official website of the airline (www.flydubai.com), via call center (+381 11 3282271 or +381 11 3282563), and via travel agencies and partners of the company.

This price includes the fee for a luggage weighing up to seven kilograms and one smaller bag, that is, a laptop case. Additional luggage will be charged extra.
