GSP Beograd has announced on the Public Procurement Portal the official Notice of the awarding of the contract on the procurement of 25 new trams to the Turkish company Bozankaya Automotive. The total value is slightly over RSD 7.8 billion, that is, EUR 67.3 million without the VAT, or around EUR 81 million with the VAT. Per vehicle, that is EUR 3.23 million.

As previously announced in the decision on awarding the contract, the deadline for the delivery of the first lot of a minimum of two vehicles is 12 months, and the deadline for the delivery of the remaining vehicles is 13 months.

The decision on awarding the contract to Bozankaya also shows that another bidder participated in the tender for 25 trams, Siemens Mobility, but their bid was deemed unacceptable as it hadn’t been submitted through the Public Procurement Portal too.

This tender, opened in April, was suspended and reactivated several times.
