A good reputation travels far, so that wave hasn’t bypassed Egypt either. From the country of pyramids, the Egyptian Nossir El Morsi has decided to launch a new production in Serbia. It will be an old style, but under a new name – Novi Traktori Rakovica.
– We will open a factory in Trstenik and initially produce three models. We will also install the original English Perkins engine of 64 kW. It will all be similar to the old Rakovica, except that we will upgrade some things that need upgrading – said El Morsi.
The three tractors that they have produced that are currently in the testing process are Rakovica 65, 76 with a domestic engine and 76 with the Perking engine. The initial idea was for them to be finished before this year’s Novi Sad Fair in May, so that they would be showcased, but they were only finished recently.
– We are making a big pump for the hydraulics, so they will be better, and the Perkins engines will be with and without turbines. In the gear-shifts as well, we will change some gears, all to the end of improving the quality – he said and added that they would work with more modern tools and new CNC machines. The new technology, he says, comes from Italy, Germany, but plenty of ideas come from Serbia as well.
One of the pillars of the realization of this project, the craftsmen Bojan Savkovic from Kragujevac, says that, due to the various licenses and rights, at least 70% of the parts must be produced in Serbia, so therefore some smaller factories with which Rakovica cooperated will once again produce some elements and assemblies.
– The hydraulics will be made in Trstenik, the coolers and tanks are produced on Zlatibor, but at least a half of the parts will be produced in Belgrade. When the testing is done and if everything is right, which I believe it will be, the production will start – said Savkovic.
Around twenty workers, a half of them from the former factory, are in charge of the beginning of this action.
Many are impatiently awaiting to see the tractors which will most probably leave the warehouse of Prva Petoletka in Trstenik soon, and feeling things out on social networks has shown that potential purchasers are already there.
