The pharmaceutical company Ivancic i Sinovi will open a new plant in Stari Banovci on September 28 and give jobs to 50 people for start.
Bratislav Ivancic, director of that company, says that the first phase of the construction of that plant, which will be producing 8 million packs of drugs a year, is finished and that EUR 4 million has been invested in the works so far.
- We hired about 30 people for the preparation phase of the construction, and we are going to employ another 50 workers once the plant is put in operation. After the second phase of this project is completed, a total of 110 people will be hired - he explains.
According to Ivancic's words, construction of the plant in Banovci is a joint project implemented in association with the Bulgarian company Sopharma, and the total value of the investment is EUR 8 million.
- The second phase of the plant's construction will be carried out within the next two or three years - he says.
Deputy Director Nada Milovanovic Ivancic stresses that Serbia is the only country where private pharmacies do not have an agreement with the Republic Health Insurance Institute, which is why patients must pay when buying drugs at a private pharmacy.
- Such agreements exist in all countries in the region - she points out and adds that the products of Ivancic i Sinovi can be found at 3,000 pharmacies in Serbia, as well as in the markets of Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Bulgaria.
The company Ivancic i Sinovi was formed in 1991 and currently employs about 90 people.
