Ball Packaging puts EUR 35 million worth of tin can production line in Zemun in operation

A new tin can production line, worth EUR 35 million, was today ceremoniously put in operation in the Belgrade-based factory Ball Packaging Europe.

Thanks to the new line, the production will be doubled and it will amount to about 1.5 billion tin cans per year. The funds for this new line were redirected from Poland to Ball's factory in Zemun.

As people at the company announced, all products from the new production line will be exported. That is the second production line in the Zemun-based factory, which was opened in 2005 and currently has about 190 employees.

A total of 40 new employees earlier completed a training in the country and abroad, and they are now capable of working with the state-of-the-arts technologies applied at Ball Packaging.
