EPS to build dam and reservoir Krusevica due to expansion of exploitation of coal from Kolubara – Tender worth EUR 9.4 million published

Elektroprivreda Srbije AD, the RB Kolubara branch, has published the tender for the construction of the dam and reservoir Krusevica in the village of Krusevica in the Belgrade municipality of Lazarevac.

According to the technical specification of the tender, the development of the exploitation of coal in the Kolubara coal basin requires the expansion of the exploitation capacities and the opening of new open-pit mines, and the river Pestan flows through the planned exploitation fields Field E and, near the confluence into the Kolubara, the South Field, which poses a risk of the future mine being flooded.

The value of the job of the construction of the dam and reservoir Krusevica has been estimated at close to RSD 1.1 billion (around EUR 9.4 million).
