Triglav Group's net profit in H1 2011 at EUR 34.1 million

Triglav Group turned a net profit of EUR 34.1 million in the first six months of this year, and it is confident that it will meet the net profit target for the year 2011, which is set at EUR 54 million, the Group announced Thursday (September 1, 2011).

Despite the negative effects of the financial crisis, Triglav Group delivered solid results in the first half of the year. By implementing its strategic guidelines of prioritizing its primary insurance operations, the Group has generated a net profit of EUR 34.1 million, up by 90% against the same period last year, reads the Group's release.


The Group has achieved solid interim results by consistently achieving its strategic goals and values, which are focused on its primary insurance division, by implementing a clear risk management policy, adequate underwriting and reinsurance policy, as well as by implementing a business policy geared towards combating negative impacts of the financial crisis, the Group said in the release.

Triglav Group is an international corporation founded in Slovenia in 1900. Aside from Slovenia, the Group today also operates in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Republic of Srpska, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Czech Republic. It is comprised of three divisions - insurance, property management, and banking.

Triglav Kopaonik is a member of Triglav Group, which entered the market of Serbia in 1972.
