Former director of Slovenian "Mercator", Zoran Janković, sold his stocks to the British Investment Fund «Altima» for 12 million EUR.

On April 7, 2006, the prices of stocks of "Mercator" on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange broke psychological limit of 187.5 EUR per stock. That day, the owners of stocks sold total of 121,883 stocks on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

The increase in price of the stocks, according to the estimates of the experts, was the provoked by the «friends» of companies "Pivovarna Laško" and "Istrabenz", who took the role of a buyer in order to prevent mass sale of stocks of minor stockholders to "Altima" fund at price of 41,000 SlT.
