American investment fund "Darby" will invest in Serbia 55 millions eur

American investment fund "Darby" has prepaired 55 millions eur for investments in Serbia, as announced by the general consul of SCG in Chicago, Desko Nikitovic.

"The director of the fund, Robert Grafon and representatives of the fund from Vienna, Johan Bastin and Patrick Kyle, have visited Belgrade recentley and after that made a decision to invest in Serbia with 55 millions eur", said Nikitovic.

During their stay in Belgrade, Fund representatives had meetings with the president of Serbia, Boris Tadic, minister of commerce, Predrag Bubalo, minister of mining and energetics, Radomir Naumov, and minister of international economic relations, Milan Parivodic, as well as with the president of the Chamber of commerce of Serbia, Slobodan Milosavljevic and the American Ambassador, Michael Polt.

The fund representatives from Vienna already had several meetings with enterprisers from Serbia and soon they will decide where would they invest the first part of their means. The fund will decide about investing strictley based on commercial grounds, and it is expected to see the first investments of the mentioned fund during 2006, and primareley in the sector of energetics, infrastructure, production and services.
