The Institute of Economic Sciences has denied the information published by Beta news agency on August 22, 2011, reading that that Institute has "inadvertently and illegally announced the data deemed as business secrets and collected for the needs of the Competition Protection Commission."

- In order to avoid a damage to the business reputation of the Institute, which has been respecting the highest professional and ethical standards in its operations for over 50 years, we underline that the statements given to certain media represent personal opinions of one of the Institute's external associates and not the official position of the Institute. In aforementioned case, the statements were given based on publicly available information, meaning that no business secret was revealed in the process. We have already provided all these information to the Competition Protection Commission, with which we have an excellent cooperation in implementation of several projects - reads the denial of the Institute of Economic Sciences.
