New cement factory in Pljevlja?

The executive director of Pljevljan Mine of coal, Filip Vukovic, considers to be a lot of expert and argumented opinions that Pljevlja should direct more towards production of cement and that marl is more valuable than coal.

Reminding that there has already been done a study about technical-economical justification of building up of a cement factory, as well as the general project, Vukovic pointed out that by investing of 356 millions eur in building of a cement factory in Pljevlja , annual profit of 46 millions eur could be made. This means that invested measn could be returned in 7 years.

In the cement production, a marl would be used which is right now in large quantities on the barren of Pjevljan Mine of coal, gave out Vukovic, striking that so far on the out door storage space on Jagnjilo have been put aside around 45 millions tones of quality marl which could be used in cement industry.
