Agreements on founding of Regional Investment Startup Center in Vranje signed

The agreements on the founding of the Regional Innovation Startup Center in Vranje was signed on behalf of the city by mayor Slobodan Milenkovic with representatives of the Faculty of Pedagogy, the Academy of Technical-Educational Vocational Studies and the Regional Development Agency of the Pcinja District.

– This way, we want to transform the city in the sense of making a step toward the modern trends. I thank everybody who is taking part in the founding of this limited-liability company and I hope that, following the signing of the agreement, we will start with intensive activities. Vranje will become part of the network of digital cities that is being formed in Serbia – the mayor pointed out, as announced on the city’s website.

The Regional Innovation Startup Center in Vranje will support the development of entrepreneurship, primarily among young people and students, through the encouraging of entrepreneurial ideas and the founding of new companies, as well as the inciting of knowledge in the implementation of technological innovations and ideas.

During the signing of the agreements, it was agreed for the next steps to be the promotion of the center, the raising of awareness of the entrepreneurial spirit among the young and the connecting of students with other faculties, startup centers and technology parks.
