International tourism fair, under the domes of the Belgrade fair, starts on April, 19th, 2006

This year's, 28th in the row International tourism fair, IFT 2006, will be held from April, 19th-22nd in Belgrade.

Around 700 exhibitors from 50 countries will represent their specialized programs and tematic journeys, on around 15.000 m2 of exhibition space. The manifestation, which is the leading one in the region by importance and size, is ment for the business world before all, therefor it is expected around 7.000 of professional visitors and more than 50.000 touristic spenders.

According to the words of Radivoj Pirgic, assistant minister for trade and tourism, in 2006, it is being proceeded with the developping road of Serbian tourism for the next decade, because all promotions, development and investing would be possible after taking in a long-term strategy for tourism development.

The accent in promotion of domestic touristic potential will be put as "city break" tourism, whose contents would represent Belgrade and Novi Sad, and the newest contents are International exhibition of hunting and fishing, review of hotel chains and equipment, as well as programs of Roman heritage tours, archeological findings and Serbian fortresses.
