American PPL again interested in acquiring Pljevlja-based "Jakić", €2.15m?

Expert management of ``Jakić`` Corporation announced that American company Prime Pacific Ltd. was interested in procurement of that company. Starting price of ``Jakić`` Corporation, on the seventh auction, will be €2.15m. The tender does not bind new owner to investments, but only to social program.

American company PPL was the only participant in the first auction that was held in July 2004. Sometime later, about €9.5m worth of Package of contracts on sale, investment and ten-year concessions on forests was signed with that company. PPL was supposed to pay around €1.7m within 45 days and to invest €7.8m in development of ``Jakić`` within next four years. The contract was broken in September 2004 because PPL did not pay agreed amount in cash before the deadline. (Pregled)
