The Government of Serbia has adopted the decision on the preparation of amendments to the Spatial Plan of the Special-Purpose Area for the purpose of the development of a part of the coastal area of the city of Belgrade – the coastal area of the river Sava for the Belgrade Waterfront project.

According to the website of the Official Gazette, the borders of the amendments to the Spatial Plan encompass parts of the cadaster municipalities: Savski Venac, Stari Grad, New Belgrade and Cukarica, with an area of around 327 ha. It is added that the border of the Spatial Plan might encompass areas necessary for the construction of facilities and systems of utility and other infrastructure in areas outside said zones.

In the territory of the cadaster municipality Savski Venac, in the zone of Branko’s Bridge, it encompasses the following cadaster parcels: 438/1 and 438/7; in the zone along Karadjordjeva Street, it encompasses the following cadaster parcels: 423, 424, 425, 428, 430, 432/1, 421, 420, 441, 443, 445, 446, 472, 473/1, 473/6, 473/4 and 462/2; in the zone of the Sava Square, it encompasses the following cadaster parcels: 811, 812 and 813; in the zone between the Sava Square and Drinska Street, it encompasses the cadaster parcel 836; in the zone of the Mostar Interchange, it encompasses the following cadaster parcels: 1508/1 and 10653/1, to the coast of the river Sava at the Old Rail Bridge; in the zone of the Sava coastal area, it encompasses the cadaster parcel 3292.


In the territory of the cadaster municipality of New Belgrade, it encompasses parts of the following cadaster parcels: 6628/1, 6628/2, 5390, 6631/1, 2390 and 2387, and in the territory of the cadaster municipality of Stari Grad, 22/6, 2007 and 69/1.

The decision comes into effect on the eighth day from the date of the publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia.

Brankov most, nekadašnji Most bratstva i jedinstva, dugačak je 450m. Izgrađen je 1956.godine na stubovima Mosta kralja Aleksandra iz 1934. godine, koji je porušen glupom odlukom Kraljevske vojske. Brankov most je otvorio Svetozar Vukmanović Tempo.

Lepi Most kralja Aleksandra je otvoren 1934.godine a krasila su ga i dela Ivana Meštrovića.

Brankov most je "dupliran" 1979.godine, Mostprojekt je realizovao, realno, novi most pored osnovnog. Projektantski tim je vodio Danilo Dragojević.

Brankov most je dobio ime kao produžetak Brankove ulice sa starobeogradske strane, ali legenda kaže da je povod za današnje ime bio Branko Ćopić, koji je završio svoj život na ovom mostu.
