The net assets of the voluntary pension funds in Serbia at the end of the fourth quarter of 2023 amounted to RSD 53.8 billion, which is 11.5% more compared to the end of 2022 and 2.7% more compared to the end of the previous quarter, according to the report of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) about the sector of voluntary pension funds.

Net payments to funds, payments from funds and the profit that funds make from the investments affect the changes of the value of the net assets.

In 2023, the total net contribution payments amounted to RSD 4.3 billion (RSD 3.7 billion in 2022), whereas a total of RSD 2.7 billion was paid to the members (RSD 3.5 billion in 2022).

The total profit from the investments that the funds realized in 2023 amounted to RSD 3.9 billion, which shows that, even with the economic and geopolitical changes in 2023, the stability and the profitability of the sector of voluntary pension funds was preserved.
