On April 3rd, 2006, the Deposit Insurance Agency of Republic of Serbia announced that it had selected 6 investors that would take part in the second phase of the tender for sale of stocks of stock company Panonska Banka from Novi Sad.

The shortlisted candidates for investors are Greek Alpha bank and National bank from Greece, Austrian Bank Austria Creditanstalt A.G., Hungarian Magyar Kulkereskedelmi Bank, as well as PKO Bank Polski S.A. from Poland and Sanpaolo IMI S.p. A from Italy.

The next phase of the tender process starts in few weeks by sending invitations to potential investors to carry out detailed survey of Panonska Banka.
