– MK Group will intensively invest in renewable source projects, which will provide significant contribution to the realization of the goals of the Government of Serbia to increase the share of RES in the total energy mix to at least 40% by 2040 – said CEO Mihailo Jankovic.
At the “Road to Energy Transition” panel at the Kopaonik Business Forum, he said that energy stability was an issue of national security and strategy.
– So far, MK Group has built three wind farms in Vojvodina, and in May, we will also open Krivaca, the first wind farm in East Serbia, in which we invested EUR 165 million – said Jankovic, as announced by the company.
He added that the company also worked on the construction of an agri-solar project in Kula and, as he emphasized, a total of EUR 900 million will be invested in all RES projects by 2026 for 1 GW of green energy.
Krivaca is a joint project of MK Group and the Slovenian ALFI Green Energy Fund. It will spread on 56 km2 in the territory of the municipality of Golubac. With a capacity of 105.6 MW and 22 wind turbines, it will produce 310 GWh of green energy a year, which is equivalent to the supply of around 75,000 households.
