Construction of 8 schools in Serbia in cooperation with European Investment Bank, huge tender announced for procurement of computers for schools

According to the contract on financing signed by SCG and European Investment Bank, prior to March 2008, Serbia will obtain 5 primary schools (in Subotica, Smederevo, Stara Pazova, Novi Sad and Zemun) and 3 secondary schools (in Vranje, Novi Pazar and Kraljevo). Also, Zemun-based primary school for children with special needs will be reconstructed.

Minister Slobodan Vuksanović announced that, in the following period, the schools with up to 500 pupils would get 14 computers, those with up to 1,000 pupils would get 19, whereas the schools with more than 1,000 pupils would get 24 computers each.

Deputy of Mayor of Belgrade, Radmila Hrustanović, said that 4 schools had already been built in the capital since 2002 and that the construction of another 3 schools would be completed until September 2006.
