Blace gets trash containers worth EUR 100,000

The municipality of Blace has bought 25 sets of containers for paper, glass and plastics. Until August 1st, 75 specially marked containers will be placed at 25 local landfills. In the distribution of containers, educational institutions in the city will have the priority.

- In this way we will reduce the size of waste transported to the central landfill in the village of Medjuhana. That will also cut the costs of transport and contribute to better ecological protection of the area around the landfill. The local public utility company will provide assistance in the positioning of containers - says Milos Colic, the project manager.

This project is worth over EUR 100,000, and the municipality of Blace implements it thanks to a support of the EU Delegation.

- Everything is done through the European Union's Programme of Support to Municipalities and Towns in Serbia - Exchange 3, under the framework of the municipal ecological project When We Treat Land, We Treat Ourselves. These containers cost RSD 1,817,000, and each of them will bear a sticker with the EU sign – Colic stresses.
