Foundation Stone for Panonske Terme Laid Down

The foundation stone for the construction of Panonske Terme, an aqua park which will spread on an area of 6 hectares in Indjija, was laid down by representatives of the company Voda Sindjelic Zdrelo and the president of the Municipality of Indjija, Vladimir Gak, reported the web portal of the Sremske Novine weekly.

According to this portal, this is an investment worth EUR 12 million, the fifth such investment in a row pertaining to properties owned by this company. A total of 150 new jobs will be created and the entire complex will be complemented by numerous sports courts as well. The pools are expected to open in May next year, announced Gak.

Let us remind that the Municipality of Indjija recently put the Draft Amendments to the Detailed Regulation Plan of the Northeast Industrial Zone, where the construction is planned, up for public inspection. The main change to the DRP, which was prepared by the Institute for Urban Planning of Vojvodina, entails the construction of an aqua park and a hotel, but also apartment boarding houses, restaurants, a summer stage, parks for children and outdoor sports courts.

The project is announced as the biggest aqua park in Serbia, with a luxury hotel, wellness and spa center, apartment boarding houses, indoor and outdoor pools, football fields and other sports courts, a gym, an outdoor children’s park and playrooms within the facility, a motor camp, a summer stage and a parking lot.

The aqua park will have 12 pools – 5 indoor ones beneath a single dome and 7 outdoor pools. The exterior pools are planned as small lakes, whereas the indoor ones will feature water slides. Hotel Panonske Terme will spread on 14,000 m2 and have 4 floors with 110 rooms.

The realization of the project is planned in three phases. In the first one, which will last 30 months, the aqua park, the indoor pools under the dome of 1,400 m2 and the two outdoor pools with an area of 700 m2, as well as a part of the hotel with 40 rooms, will be built.

Voda Sindjelic RUC Zdrelo was registered as a family business in 2006, and so far, it has realized Mlavske Terme in Zdrelo, Soko Terme in Sokobanja, Vrnjacke Terme in Vrnjacka Banja and Terme Ozren in Republika Srpska.
