The interim Kosovo government decided Wednesday to place embargo on imports from Serbia as a way to implement reciprocal measures against Belgrade`s decision not to acknowledge the customs seals with symbols of the unilaterally proclaimed Republic of Kosovo, Tanjug reports.

As part of the same measures, the Pristina authorities also introduced a 10-percent customs duty on goods arriving to the province from Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH), the Pristina government said in a release following its session on Wednesday.

The release says that the embargo, proposed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, was a direct consequence of the recent failure to reach agreements on both recognizing Kosovo`s customs seals and free trade. The government supports the Ministry of Trade and Industry in implementing the decision, Pristina`s Prime Minister Hasim Taci said.
