NBS: FX Reserves EUR 24.9 Billion at End-December

Gross NBS FX reserves amounted to EUR 24.9 billion at end-December 2023, which is their highest end-of-month/year level on record (since 2000), the Central Bank announced.

They increased in December by EUR 746 million m-o-m and by EUR 5.49 billion y-o-y.

– [This covers] 166.4% of money supply M1 and 6.7 months’ worth of the country’s imports of goods and services, which is more than twice the level prescribed by the adequacy standard – the press release says.
