NBG offers 500 millions eur for Vojvodjanska bank

National bank of Greece (NBG) has offered around 500 millions eur for 99.4 % of the capital of Vojvodjanska bank, and the Bank of Austria kreditansstalt (BA-CA) around 450 millions eur.

The bank of Austria with the offer of around 450 millions eur, also expressed intention to give in a larger sum of money through investments.

The Greek bank, the only one whose part is garantied by the state, is ready to take over Vojvodjanska bank and offer up to 700 millions eur. After negotiations of tender comission with two best ranged biders, in the second half of the year there will be acceptance of final offers.

Agency for insurance of deposit has estimated at the beginning of this month that the three best offers for buying of Vojvodjanska bank were from NBG, BA-CA, and PKO bank from Poland, out of a total of 11 banks which have given applications of interest.
