Societe generale group chose Serbian capital city for its banking developping center for the whole South Eastern Europe, by putting Ljubomir Aksentijevic, the former representative of Societe generale bank for Caspian region for the place of director for business development for the South Eastern Europe with headquarters in Belgrade. This decision, said Ljubomir Aksentijevic, does not represent only exclusive acknowledgement of dynamic and successfull development of reforms in Serbia, but also a stimulation for the further development of Socete generale bank in Serbia.
Societe generale is corporative and investment bank with head office in Paris, which does business within Societe generale group which is one of the first three investment banks in Europe, that by rentability gets to the top of the European investment banking. It is the first in the world from the area of export financing and financing of large projects, and it has a leading role in the European market of capital.
The choice of Belgrade for the banking developping center for the whole south eastern Europe of this large investment european bank is a great sign that the market of south eastern Europe is of significance to the European Union, and the works of financing oil pipeline from Constance to Trieste, where Societe generale group is the project coordinator in which participate 4 more world banks, is just one of the works that in the future this bank group would be involved in Serbia. The great potential of caspain oil pipeline and gasline is of great importance to the European Union, stressed Aksentijevic, explaining that the European Union is looking for alternative ways of supply with energetics.
