Vranje to Get Training Center for Trainings, Additional Trainings and Re-Trainings – Precondition for Arrival of Investors

The construction of the Training Center in the Free Zone in Vranje, in close proximity to the company Teklas, where the participants could have practical trainings, or additional trainings and re-trainings, has been announced by the president of the Temporary Organ of Vranje, Slobodan Milenkovic, and the director of the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework, Gabrijela Grujic.

Milenkovic says that it’s a capital investment, which is a permanent investment in the education system of the city and, at the same time, a precondition for the arrival of investors to Vranje.

– The training center combines the economy with education and will provide students with the possibility to have practical training. It will be built in the Free Zone, in close proximity to the company Teklas, so I am deeply convinced that the construction of the Training Center will additionally promote the Free Zone in Vranje as well, which, as you know, is equipped with infrastructure. I also invite all the other education institutions from the territory of the city and the region to use all the capacities that this facility will offer – Milenkovic emphasized.

Grujic said that the construction of the Training Center in Vranje was a big support to the entire Pcinja District and that, with the support of the local self-government and the Government of Serbia, a space of over 2,000 square meters would be built, for whose construction the Government of the Republic of Serbia had set aside around EUR 3.4 million from the budget.

– These are serious results today, as an additional component for the young in learning and acquiring theoretical knowledge in schools. The construction of the Training Center supports the populace of the Pcinja District to be able to get additionally trained or retrained and to respond to the contemporary challenges of the economy – said Grujic.

She added that the presence of dual education in four schools in Vranje, the Vocational School of Economics and Trade, the Vocational School of Technology, the Vocational School of Chemistry and Technology and the Vocational School of Agriculture, showed that the importance of that model of learning had been recognized, as it ensured the quality of the students’ education.

– Everybody benefits from it, the local companies, which will be innovative with the support of young people, as well as young people with an improved quality of education. The works on the construction of the Training Center are expected to begin in the spring, and its construction will create the preconditions for the development of local companies, but also for attracting foreign investors, who will see the strength of this region in the quality of the education – said the director of the Office for Dual Education.

On that occasion, an agreement was signed in Vranje on the business-technical cooperation between the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework, the City of Vranje and the Vocational School of Chemistry and Technology in Vranje, and a promotion of the National Model of Dual Education and the Qualifications Framework was held as well.
