Provincial Government Issues Permit for Construction of First Section of “Vojvodina Smile” Fast Route

The Provincial Government has issued the permit for the construction of the first section of the Backi Breg-Nakovo fast route, stated the president of the Provincial Government, Igor Mirovic.

– According to the announcements of the Government of Serbia, we expect the preparatory works on the construction of that traffic route, important for the economic development of the north of Serbia, to begin in the next several weeks – said Mirovic.

As he said, this will also be the beginning of the construction of the corridor, 175 kilometers long, which will connect the territories of Sombor, Kula, Vrbas, Srbobran, Becej, Novi Becej and Kikinda.

According to him, “along with the works on the Fruska Gora Corridor, as well as the expected construction of the highway from Belgrade to Zrenjanin and from Zrenjanin to Novi Sad, this is expected to fully change the image of Vojvodina.”
