Cablex opens cable production plant in Platicevo near Ruma

Slovenia's Cablex opened on Friday (June 24, 2011) a plant in Platicevo near Ruma, which will be producing cables for electric and electronic industry.

The company Cablex S is another affiliate of this Slovenian group, which already has its production plants in several countries, including Slovenia, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Serbia.

Competition in the production of top-quality cables is very tough and, according to the words of the company's management, products from the plant in Platicevo will be of the highest quality and these flawless goods will be sold to the biggest manufacturers of household appliances that Cablex Group collaborates with.

After touring the newly opened plant, Vojvodina Prime Minister said that the new facility was another confirmation that the region of Srem, one of the most underdeveloped areas in Serbia in the previous ten years or so, was still experiencing a strong economic expansion.
