Agriculturists Announce Protests and Road Block

The United Associations of Agriculturists of Serbia have announced, for Monday, November 13, protests from the morning hours in the whole territory of Serbia, because, as they said, they have been “brought to the brink of existence and already falling off the ledge.”

The agriculturist Mirko Gabric said for the Beta agency that the gathering was to start at 11 AM, and that the protest was planned to start at 1 PM, including a road block between Stari Zednik and Subotica.

As announced, the farmers will block the road for an hour and let the vehicles pass through for half an hour, whereas ambulances and police cars will have free pass.

Ahead of the announced country-wide protests, agriculturists are asking for understanding regarding the situation they are in, primarily from the citizens of Serbia, and they are also asking the institutions to treat them fairly.

The protest was announced by the Initiative for the Survival of Agriculturists of Serbia, the Association of Agricultural Producers of Subotica, the Alliance of the Associations of Agriculturists of Banat and the Association of Agriculturists Aradac.
