Subotica's Super TV bought Radio Jat

Public licitation for the sale of Radio Jat, that is of 100% share of Jat airways in capital of this company was yesterday with a starting price of 2.2 millions dinars (25.434 euros)and the price accomplished was 2.7 millions dinars (31.000 euros). There were two buyers interested and the better price was offered by Regional TV Center Subotica (Super TV), while the second-runner on the licitation was Belgrade company Interstig.

The head and executive editor-in-chief of Jat radio, Momcilo Koslic, said that the new owner would apply for getting regional frequenci and pointed that it would continue to maintain the modern conception of this radio, which had started with work in March, 1999. According to his words, this licitation made survival of Radio Jat possible, which has good standings on today's market. Super TV is in property of Simex group, and representative of this group Goran Draca stated that only technique and equipment of the radio had been bought while the radio was still to apply for the frequenci.

However, the sale of Radio Jat was done in a pretty short deadline, for only a week, and as said in the Agency for privatization the deadline for giving in applications for participation at the metioned licitation was March, 17th, and the inciator of the sale was government of Serbia. The founder and idea creator of the concept of Radio Jat, Marko Rados stated that the only valuable thing this radio posesses is "successfull program concept, which he as the owner of rights over intelectual property protected at the Bureau for intelectual property of SCG". Rados expressed its insatisfaction over the speed of the whole process, saying that his remark about the regulative sale was dismissed by the Comission that the Agency had formed for the sale of this company. He said he would try to make a deal with the buyer, in order to avoid all possible difficulties which can occur over the rights of his intelectual property.

Radio Jat was founded on March, 21st, 1999 and it is broadcasted on the frequenci 95.7 MHZ (FM) 24 HOURS a day.
