Price of Electricity in Serbia 8% Higher from Tomorrow, Gas 10% More Expensive – Here Is How Much Kilowatts in Each Zone Will Cost

Electrical energy for households and small purchasers will be 8% more expensive on average from tomorrow, November 1, and gas will be 10% more expensive.

Consumers with double-tariff meters for a monthly consumption up to 350 kW in the “green zone” will pay RSD 2.277 per kilowatt, instead of RSD 2.084, whereas the more expensive kilowatt in that zone will cost RSD 9.109 instead of RSD 8.336.

The cheaper kilowatt in the “blue zone”, which encompasses a consumption from 350 kW to 1,600 kW will cost RSD 3.126 instead of 3.416. The more expensive kilowatt in that zone will cost RSD 13.663 instead of RSD 12.504.

In the “red zone”, which pertains to a monthly consumption above 1,600 kW, the cheaper kilowatt will cost RSD 6.831 instead of 6.252.

For single-tariff meters, a kilowatt in the “green zone” will cost RSD 7.970 instead of 7.294, in the “blue zone” it will be RSD 11.955 instead of RSD 10.941, and in the “red zone”, it will be RSD 23.911 instead of RSD 21.882.

The price of gas for public supply will be 10% higher and amount to RSD 4.54 per kilowatt-hour, without taxes and fees, that is, RSD 5.02 with taxes and fees.

In May this year, the price of electrical energy increased 8%, and that of gas 10%, and according to the Agreement with the International Monetary Fund, a new price increase is to follow in May 2024, at the same percentages, 8% for electricity and 10% for gas.
