The Republic Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments Belgrade has published the tender for the preparation of the project-technical documentation for the construction of the Visitors’ Center, Science and Research Center and a local community building in Vinca, within the archaeological site Belo Brdo.

The archaeological site Belo Brdo is the most important cultural good in the settlement of Vinca, which hides the remains of an early neolithic culture (5800 BC). According to the technical description, the service encompasses the preparation of the preliminary design, the preliminary project and the approval planning. The Vinca Center for Neolithic Culture – The Visitors’ Center will be located near Bolecica.

The Visitors’ Center should provide the necessary information to the tourists about the location before entering the space of the archaeological site. The basic functions of the center facility are to take in the visitors upon arrival to the archaeological site and provide information about the site.

The solution needs to envisage the presentation of the location in the exhibition space, which will also have an educational character, with the possibility of organizing lectures.

The hospitality part of the facility, in addition to the cafeteria and the bookstore under the roof, should also contain a developed outdoor space.

The planned facility of the Visitors’ Center will have a maximum of GF+1+L, and the total gross developed floor area of the facility, according to the first-prize-winning design, is 2,700 m2.

The basic structure of the facility is planned to be wooden and the unique slanted façade of the building will consist of natural materials used in neolithic times (straw and wood), combined with glass panes.

Two large balconies on the ground floor will be oriented toward the river Danube and the settlement of Vinca and the Archaeology Park.

The tender is open until November 30, and other details (in Serbian) can be found HERE.

Opis:
