The company Meggle, which took over Kragujevac-based Mladost dairy in March 2011, has announced a EUR 4 million investment in the new equipment. However, the largest German dairy industry plans to expand to the territory of the Western Balkans by opening a big distribution center for that region, as well as a milk and dairy plant, in Posusje in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
There is still no official information from the headquarters of Meggle for the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina on when this investment worth few million euros, which will lead to creation of new jobs, is going to be implemented, Vecernji List daily newspaper reports.
The only information that journalists have been provided with by people at Meggle BH is that the company will not be giving any information until the investment is completed.
Herzegovina impatiently awaits the investment in Posusje, which is expected to be a strong impulse for the revival of cattle breeding . The daily processing capacity of Meggle's future production line is still unknown. Unofficially, the company will hire about 60 people, but the investment will also result in the creation of new jobs at the distribution center for the territory of the Western Balkans.
