What Mother and Child Healthcare Institute in Belgrade Will Look Like After Reconstruction – Construction of New Surgery Block and Underground Garage Planned (PHOTO)

The Mother and Child Healthcare Institute “Dr Vukan Cupic” in Belgrade should soon be reconstructed and extended according to the project of the Belgrade-based studio Bureau Cube Partners. The UNDP and the Ministry for Public Investment have initiated the preparation of full technical documentation for the repair, adaptation, reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities within the hospital complex.

The most important interventions are reflected in the full reconstruction of the complex and the full reorganization of its function. The construction of a new surgery unit and the solving of the problem of parking, that is, the construction of a garage, are planned too, as Stefan Z. Jovanovic of Bureau Cube Partner says for eKapija.

The total gross developed area of the complex achieved through the reconstruction and extension is 35,442.16 m2, and the total net area is 28,672.47 m2.

According to the project for the reconstruction and extension of the existing facilities and the construction of new facilities of the complex of the Mother and Child Healthcare Institute “Dr Vukan Cupic”, these five facilities, as individual functional units, with a developed landscaped area, form the unified construction complex of the Institute.
