Ministry of work, employment and social politics announced a possibility of introducing meal coupons

Minister of work, employment and social politics, Slobodan Lalovic announced a possibility of introducing coupons for the meals of emploees. According to his words, by the changes of Law of work, which will take place in "May or June", it was presumed to make employers' payments for meals and regress for vacation free of tax and contributions.

If those changes are accepted, it is planned to bring in a special law of giving out meal coupons which would be used in certain restaurants and shops which is already a practice in numerous countries.

Lalovic reminded that by the Law of work from January, 1st, there was introduced an employers' committment to make payments for meals and regress, but the emploees didn't have much use of it, as those compensations were accounted in the income which was not by the way increased. Future payment of meal and regress wouldn' be a law obligatory, but if employers' would cancell those compensations they would be stimulated to increase montly payments to the emploees.

In the Law of work would also be changed the way of accounting forwarding charges during determination of extra workers. Working age would be acknowledged to the emploees at the employer at which there is an announcement of extras, instead of the whole working period, which will be a stimulance for employment of the most endangered group of workers in transition, by the expectations of the minister.
