Austrains, major owners of "Putevi"(Roads) from Cacak

An Austrian company "Strabag" is the future majority owner of Cacak's community capital of the company "Putevi", as it won a tender by purchasing 70% of the capital for 4.075 millions eur. Austrians made a committment to invest in Putevi 2 millions eur, out of which 1.7 millions in the first year, without firing any workers in the first 12 months of ownership, and with respecting of collective contract within 18 months. In the "Putevi" which are doing good business, last year the average neto paycheck of 269 emploees was around 18.000 dinars. "Putevi" are in construction activities, specially construction and maintenance of roads, project creation, manufacture and construction of concrete, processing of rocks and other similar works. By accounting results the value of the whole company was estimated to be 152 millions dinars. For the purchase of Putevi three more companies were interested, "Putevi" from Uzice, Austrian "Alpina" and Hungarian "Betonus."
