NIS announced joining together of the two refineries in Novi Sad and Pancevo

The Managers Board of Oil industry in Serbia reached a decision which would allow joining together of the two Refineries in Novi Sad and Pancevo, as one company. The creation of one instead of two refineries will improve business and modernization and will allow lower price of the product - stated Tomislav Micovic, director of Center for information of Oil industry of Serbia. He couldn't presice when would this organizational changes take place but he hinted that it could be very soon. According to his words, for the new projects for production of new gasoline sorts it is necessart to spend more than 100 millions dollars, and also it is necessary to invest in modernization of the power plants in the refineries.
Vladanka Pajovic from NIS Petrol-Promet pointed that on gasoline stations NIS eko 3 diesel fuel could be bought with lowered quantity of sumpor of 350 mg per kilo and 50 mg per kilo. She explained that European regulations asign cancellation of lead fuels as big environment polluters. Bozidar Stanisic from NIS Petrol-Refinery stated that soon it should be started a production of the new non lead fuel BMB 92 which is already in use in many countries, specially in Japan. He explained that this kind of gasoline of lower oktan value of BMB 92, whose production will be continued could be used by cars with small as well as with middle engine capacity.
