Financial results of MK Mountain Resort exceed expectations - Investment of about EUR 2.5 million in Konaci complex in 2011

In only year and half, the company MK Mountain Resort, part of MK Group business system, has completely changed the long-time negative trend of Kopaonik mountain as an expensive destination with bad service into a destination with moderate prices and quality service.

In an interview for Magazin Biznis magazine, Nikola Avram, CEO of MK Mountain Resort, said that the financial results from the last winter tourist season were above the expectations and that the company had registered a noticeable growth of net revenues, while simultaneously cutting the expenditures, which was a reflection of better efficiency in operations and higher quality of services in all segments of the offer.

Immediately after taking over the tourist complex, MK Mountain Resort began the reconstruction and modernization of famous Grand hotel, as well as the entire tourist complex. During this year only, between 2 and 2.5 million euros will be invested in further reconstruction of the suite complex Konaci and part of accommodation capacities at Grand hotel. The result of all investments is almost 33 percent bigger number of guests against the last year's ski season, and this trend is also continued during spring months.
