Exports of Local ICT Sector EUR 1.6 Billion in First Half of 2023

The exports of the ICT sector in the first half of the year are worth EUR 1.6 billion, the prime minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, announced. According to her, the first half of this year was enough to nearly exceed the results from last year in the local IT sector.

– The strong growth of the ICT sector continues. In the first half of this year, the exports reached EUR 1.6 billion (+40% compared to the record year of 2022) – the prime minister tweeted.

She added that Serbia still exported the majority of its IT services to the USA, with the value of the services amounting to EUR 453 million, followed by Great Britain, with EUR 220 million, and Switzerland, with EUR 183 million.

– This year alone, 3,700 people have been employed in the ICT sector – Brnabic wrote.
