Year-on-Year Inflation in Serbia in July at 12.5%, Month-on-Month Price Drop 0.1%

Prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in July 2023 in relation to June 2023 decreased by 0.1%, on average. Consumer prices in July 2023 increased by 12.5% in relation to July 2022, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Consumer prices in July 2023 in relation to December 2022 increased by 6.0%, on average.

In July, decrease of prices was noted in the groups Food and non-alcoholic beverages (–1.4%) and Clothing and footwear (–0.2%).


Increase of prices was noted in the groups Recreation and culture (3.4%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.7%), Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.9%), Restaurants and hotels (0.7%), Health (0.5%), Transport (0.2%) and Communication (0.1%).
