Italian Vescovini to start construction of factory of mechanical parts in Sabac in October 2011

Italian Vescovini will start the construction of a factory of mechanical parts for the automotive industry in October in Sabac. This company already has production plants in Italy, Japan, and on Taiwan.

Vescovini should buy 7 hectares of land in Northwest industrial zone in June, get a building permit in September, and start the construction of the factory in October, which is expected to be put in operation in the period between July and September 2012.

According to the words of Sabac Mayor Milos Milosevic, the Italian investor is ready to pay EUR 500,000 for the construction of the factory in Sabac. On the other hand, Vescovini Group demands that all deadlines set by the City be strictly respected.

- Fiat Group has chosen us to be an authorized supplier of parts for its products. The factory in Sabac will be producing components not only for Fiat in Kragujevac, but also for the markets of east Europe and Russia. We expect products made in Sabac to be of high quality, in the same rank as those exported to the market of Germany. For that we need excellent workers, trained in Italy. Their training requires certain sacrifice since they will be separated from their families. We believe that such effort will give result and benefit everybody - both workers and the company - Federiko Veskovini said to the press while presenting the characteristics of the factory and the training plan for workers in Italy.

Novela Burini, the person in charge of human resources at Vescovini Group, is hired to find future workers in Sabac who will first have to complete a short Italian language course. Training will then be continued in Italy. It will take them one year to get familiar with the production process. During that time, workers will be receiving a monthly grant of EUR 350, while their housing and food will be paid. They will also be able to visit their families in Serbia once a month.

- We want SBE Serbia to be a joint undertaking of workers and the company's management - Novela Burini pointed out.

SBE Serbia, an affiliate opened two months ago in Sabac, is run by Sandro Andriolo. In his address to the journalists in Serbian language, Andriolo invited all those interested to come to the premises of SBE Serbia, 25 Vojvode Misica street.

The plan is that the training in Italy for the first group of 40 workers starts in June, while the training for the second group should begin in October. After that, they will return to Sabac and start working for the company. Journalists also learned that the plant in Sabac would be using a high technology with the state-of-the-arts characteristics, imported from the USA, Italy, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan.

- As you see, we are not here to reduce costs and get cheaper manpower but to have the best workers making the best products - said the representatives of Vescovini Group.
