The Post of Serbia signed a memorandum on the construction of a logistics center in Batajnica

The Post of Serbia has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Mobtel-PTT d.o.o. and PMC-inzenjering d.o.o. regarding the construction project of a business-technological facility for the needs of the Post in Batajnica.

- I believe that, in the coming decade, it will be a modern logistics center that will provide not only classic storage of goods, but will also have the possibility of cold-storage and perhaps a duty-free zone due to the proximity of the Danube - said the acting Director of the Post of Serbia Zoran Djordjevic on that occasion.

Djordjevic stressed that this is the first time that a logistics center is being built purely for the needs of the Post Office and that it will have the support of the Government of Serbia.

- The Post of Serbia should obtain a large plot of land in Batajnica, i.e. near our logistics center in Zemun. This way, it could also provide logistics-warehousing services, and parallel to that, a delivery service - Djordjevic explained.

As he emphasized, it is an area of 23 hectares, and reliable partners, i.e. state companies, have already been chosen for the realization of the project.

- The search for a partner ends in the safest way possible when you choose a state-owned company. Everyone found themselves in this, and the state, that is, the Post Office, as well as Mobtel and PMC, need to make a profit in this - he added.
