Microsoft may buy Nokia mobile division for USD 30 million. This rumor comes from influential Russian blogger Eldar Mutazin who became famous in the world of technology when he announced some confidential information of the powerful Finnish company.
"Next week Nokia will start the negotiations about the sale of it’s phone unit to Microsoft. For now the results of the negotiations won’t be public, but the deal might close before the end of 2011. Both companies are in a big hurry", Murtazin revealed.
By acquiring Nokia, Microsoft would finally be able to produce mobile phones to fit its own desires. Microsoft and Nokia entered an alliance in February that makes Windows Phone 7 Nokia’s primary smartphone platform. By combining their strengths in the fields of hardware and software, intellectual property, partnership with distributors and operators, they intend to build a strong portfolio of Nokia products based on Windows Phone devices.
