The Greeks, the British and Mitrovic's Air Pink are the new ground handling operators at Nikola Tesla Airport

Nikola Tesla Airport received three new ground handling operators: British Menzies, Greek Golden Air and Serbian Air Pink, and they have already started working, said Goran Vesic, Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure for Bloomberg Adria.

- At first, there was an idea to announce an invitation, and then we decided not to announce it, but to allow everyone who has a license issued by the Civil Aviation Directorate to work at Nikola Tesla Airport - said Vesic.

He stated that until now there was the possibility of only three operators working at the Belgrade airport - Vinci, one French operator and Air Serbia.

- And in the future, every new company that meets the requirements and gets a license will be able to work, we have abolished the restrictions on the work of any ground handler - said the minister.

He added that it is the obligation of the concessionaire, the Vinci company, to provide all those companies with space to work.

- How much they will work depends on how much work they will get, and that in turn depends on how many airlines will hire them - said Vesic, adding that these are large companies that already do business with many companies in Europe and will probably apply many European contracts to our airport.

- This means that there will be more competition, higher salaries and fewer issues at the airport - the minister concluded.
