Average net salary in southern Serbia is RSD 73,000 - In the north it is a quarter higher, in Vracar and Stari Grad it is more than doubled

In May, residents of the two largest cities in the north of the country, Belgrade and Novi Sad, earned an average of RSD 109,167 dinars and RSD 99,956 respectively, whereas the net salaries of residents of the two largest cities in the south of the country, Nis and Kragujevac, were RSD 81,458 dinars and RSD 80,257.
The wages of employees in Belgrade and Novi Sad are the highest in the north of the country, while in the south of the country the highest wages are earned by residents of Bor and the Nis city municipality of Medijana.
The net salary of employees in Bor was RSD 98,444, and in the municipality of Medijana it was RSD 91,562.
According to official statistics, the highest paid in May were the residents of the Belgrade municipalities Stari Grad and Vracar, as their average net salaries amounted to RSD 157,371.
RZS data show that residents of Presevo and Bojnik had the lowest May net salaries, with wages of RSD 57,567 and RSD 59,171, respectively.
The average May salary in Serbia was RSD 86,220, while the median net salary for that month was RSD 66,244, which means that 50 percent of employees earned up to that amount.
