Šabac, Textile industry "Uno Martin" lost in fire, damage of about 250 million CSD

Big fire that spread over Šabac-based textile company "Uno Martin", which employs 270 workers in its units located in this city and in Smederevo, burned central warehouse for ready-made products and semi-finished products to the ground.

The cause of the fire is not known yet. Besides members of Šabac-based Secretariat of Internal Affairs, the experts of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia are engaged in the discovery of the cause.

Central warehouse of "Uno Martina", of which surface is 1,500 square meters, settled on three levels, was built at the beginning of 2000 in accordance with all standards. Just like administrative building, it was heated from the central boiler room in separated facility, which was not caught by fire. Inside burned warehouse, due to extremely high temperature, metal structures melted and one part of the roof collapsed.

Material damage amounts to over 250 million CSD. Beside ready-made and semi-finished products, there were over 3,000 samples (models) inside this facility.
