The first shipment of dairy products made by Mlekara Sabac dairy, weighing 22.5 tonnes, for one of the largest market chains in Russia - Magnit Tander from Krasnodar, will be dispatched on Tuesday, while the next shipment for the same buyer is scheduled for delivery on May 25, 2011.
Representatives of the Russian Rosselhoznadzor visited Mlekara Sabac in October 2010 and carried out an inspection of machines and lines of the dairy. On that occasion, they gave a positive opinion on the technical equipment, capacities and standards of Mlekara Sabac and put it on the list of manufacturers that can export their products to the market of Russian Federation.
The most significant buyer is Magnit Tander, with which a contract worth EUR 10 million has been signed, while the dairy will also be dispatching shipments to another four buyers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Himki this month.
Mlekara Sabac plans to significantly increase the current processing capacity of over 240 tonnes of raw milk a day very soon, which will be made possible thanks to these export deals with Russian Federation.
In that way, over 6,000 collaborators will be enabled to grow and develop their businesses by importing high-quality heifers and procuring a new milking equipment.
Based on an interstate agreement on free trade between the Republic of Serbia and Russian Federation, as well as on the basis of an agreement between the Ministyry of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Power Engineering of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, meat and milk manufacturers in Serbia are enabled to export their products to the market of Russia.
