First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic and Macedonian Minister of the Interior Gordana Jankuloska opened on Friday a border crossing for local cross-border transport Goles–Golema Crcorija near Bosilegrad.
Dacic said on that occasion that that was the best indicator of how two
countries and two line ministries worked in the interest of ordinary
people since the opening of that border crossing would be of benefit to
the citizens living on both sides of the border.
This
transition could be not only, as it used to be said, the line of
separation, but also the line of connection of people who live on both
sides, as well as of two countries and two friendly nations, Dacic
proclaimed.
He also announced that several more such border crossings would be opened.
Dacic and Jankuloska also signed the Memorandum between the Serbian and Macedonian ministries of the interior on strengthening cooperation in internal control.
Head of the Border police unit of the Serbian Ministry of the Interior Nenad Banovic and Head of the Department for border and migration affairs of the Macedonian Ministry of the Interior Marinko Kocovski signed the Act of the standard operational procedure for conducting border checks and control at the joint border crossing Goles-Golema Crcorija.
The border crossing was opened in the presence of, among others, directors of the police units of Serbia and Macedonia Milorad Veljovic and Ljupco Todorovski, respectively, and Serbian Ambassador to Macedonia Tomislav Djurin.
