At the meeting between Bovan and Zou Junwei, the director of Eurasia Trade Center, the company which is financing the construction, held after visiting the construction site, it was said that both facilities of the future center would be completed at the same time, in April 2024.
– We expect the center to initiate a whole range of operations of new, small and large companies, both those from China and traders rom Serbia, which will get goods from this large country in the east here in this place. We hope that some of the tenants from the old center in Block 70 will also move into the new center – said Bovan.
Junwei said that the future shopping center would be the biggest one in the Balkans and that, in addition to the importance for the local populace, it would also contribute to the strengthening of the cooperation of the two states.
The meeting was also attended by Chin Chengjian, a representative of China Construction, which is building the Chinese shopping center in New Belgrade according to, he emphasizes, all the legislative standards of Serbia.
